Moving

One thing I hate about renting, is the constant need to move.

We have to move because the owner of our apartment wants to move back in. He gave us 3 months warning, but we don’t want to wait 3 months and find that there is nowhere for us to go or the rent has increased too much. So when we found out from the landlord that there was some apartments free, we decided to move next week.

We live in number 15, and found out number 14 was empty, but the next day an asian girl moved in there. Last night as I was surfing the net, I could hear her and her boyfriend/husband/whoever, very loudly, having sex. It was disgustingly loud, they went for like 45 minutes. I had to listen to my ipod to drown it out. Anyway that is off subject.

Anyway we were told we were getting number 72. If you don’t know me by now, I am shit scared of heights. I can’t even fly without having a panic attack, let alone living on a high floor. I thought maybe it won’t be so bad if we are facing the city and river, then I get a nice view. But no, we get the one that has to be facing the hills and over looking the ugliest suburb ever. I thought number 72 would be floor 7, so I went up the slow lifts to see how high it actually was. I didn’t even have to look down, just looking straight across and seeing the roof of every building and my car down below was smaller than a 20cent coin, my head started to spin, my legs started to wobble. My chest felt tight. I didnt like it up there. At all.

The I went down the hall and saw the numbers were in the 90’s. I was 2 floors too high. I went to the fifth floor and even though it was still high, there was a huge difference and I felt safer. I still cannot believe we are moving up there next week. Jasmine and Thomas are never ever going outside onto the balcony. I don’t even want to imaging them falling. Come to think of it, I doubt I will even go out onto the balcony.

We haven’t even viewed the apartment yet, but we know it is a little bigger than ours. I just want to view it but we have to wait for the guy to move out, and coincidently he is moving into number 13. I was like ah, why can’t we have 13, he can stay in 72. Because 13 is the biggest apartment with 1 more room and a huge bathroom. Goodness, this is like musical apartments. I cannot wait to own a house.

Edit: I made a new page about Thomas. I will be adding more pages soon.

  3. Oh I could never live on an higher apartment… I live on the 4th floor and I feel really safe except when I’m on the balcony and I look down..It’s weird. I hope you’ll adapt to it [and that you don't have to hear any more couples having sex]. ^^
