A new place.

I am not back with all the blogging as yet, but I did make a new layout. It is now my favourite, with two colours I think compliment each other, as well as the fact that it is a fluid width layout. It doesn’t look too good in IE, but I am working on that. I also decided against using the theme switcher, and comment plugs.

On Friday I went with my sister to her second ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. It was the most incredible thing ever, to see a little baby on the screen kicking and moving, and knowing it was inside my sister’s belly. I can’t wait to meet him. Yes, that’s right, she’s having a little boy! She was really hoping for a girl, but a healthy baby is all that matters, and she is so excited over her little baby boy.

We have finally moved apartments too, we didn’t end upon the 7th floor much to my delight, we are on the second, and the view is great. Far better than the boring view of apartments opposite and pool below. We now have two angles to view, with the hills in the distance, the tree’s, other houses, and the big park. The apartment gets really warm though, because it faces West, we have the room for the majority of the day filled with sunlight. The sunrise is amazing. The other side we were on was always cold and shady. From our bedroom window we see the highway, which Jasmine is amazed at because she sits in the window sill, eyes darting left and right wondering what on earth these blobs of colour driving back and forth are.

  1. I absolutely loved to go to ultrasounds when I was pregnant too. That was when the first mind preparations began I think. Getting used to the idea of something going to chance life forever.

Congratulation to your sister and you of course :)
Congratulations on the new apartment. I would love to be the one with a pool!

  2. Nan- I can’t wait to have a baby of my own, it will be so surreal to see a baby on the screen and know it is mine, and to feel it growing inside me.

We are in the same block, just a floor up and facing the opposite side. The other side was facing the pool but was boring and really green because it is winter, even in summer it was hardly open. I really like the other view better, although it is noisier because of the cars.

  3. ohh congratulations for your nephew!! It is so touching to see the ultrasounds, i remember when my sister had her kid it was so shocking seeing a little thing moving inside her (but it was so beautiful at the same time)

  4. My aunt is having a baby too!! It’s amazing what one little unborn baby can do to a family. Our family hardly ever talked until we found out Aisha is pregnant and now its all like happie families. Love the baby already.

    Congrats.
