I am going to work on the suggestions for getting rid of that big gap. I have the layout fluid and the sidebar float at left but I still couldn't work it out. I suggest that you give a max-width to your #main of 1000px, but make it fluid (approx. 80% width of the screen) so that it fits into smaller resolutions as well. Then, if you assign percentage widths to the sidebar and content area, and just float them either left or right, you'll avoid the gap between the two. Regarding the comment link thingie, you'll have to change the "single.php" or "comments.php" file in your Wordpress theme...I'm not sure how you've currently got it set up, but it'll be one or the other. Additionally, I'd probably go with a white on the navigation links rather than blue, as it's a bit too hard to read against the green...even a lighter shade of blue would be an improvement.
