I Tried To Avoid It
Everyone in my family has been sick with some sort of flu for the last 2 weeks. First it started off in my dad’s household. I’m not entirely sure who the culprit was, but since my dad never gets sick I have my suspicions1. Then my sister who lives with him (but stays with us mostly) got sick, and brought it to my home. I tried my best to avoid getting sick, because I hate being sick and because I know the last one to catch it always gets it worse. I stayed away from her, didn’t share drinks or food with anyone and tried everything I could.
Then on Monday Carl got it. He was so sick he had to take the week off work. It was also his birthday on Thursday and my sisters on Tuesday. We are having a joint party tonight, and I had planned on getting very drunk. I hadn’t even let Carl kiss me all week, scared I would get the flu. Last night I was really tired and had a major headache. I was wishing it was nothing and I would be fine.
Today I woke up with a sore throat, aches all over and a stuffy nose. I had tried my best not to get sick and here I was in bed and I felt like I was dying. So much for enjoying the party tonight.
1. My dad has recently let his girlfriend’s daughter and boyfriend move in the spare room.
Oh man that sucks.
Have you gotten your flu vaccine this year yet? It helps!

Oh that’s hell. Hows the dad’s girlfriend’s daughter and boyfriend situation? Sounds like it could have the potential to be hell as well? Or is it pure brilliance?!

^haha, definately not brilliance. It is a disaster, she is only 15 and pregnant, her boyfriend is 20. If I was 15 and regnant my dad certainly would not have let my boyfriend move in with us, let alone me even living there anymore.
