Epic Fail
With all the hiatus’s I have had, all the times I have been away on holiday or moved apartments (did I mention I am moving on the weekend to a HOUSE!), or have a relative visiting, or am just damn busy with work, I haven’t had hardly any time to blog. When I do blog, I can never think of anything actually worth reading so I just churned out the same boring “Top Ten” posts. I have only just realised I haven’t written anything personal in while. Not that everyone loves personal stuff, but I feel like my blog isn’t about “me” anymore and just about random internet crap. The last time I wrote anything about me or my life was when I wrote about crappy buses.
It’s not that I didn’t have anything interesting to write (well, you be the judge) I had many things happen lately. From family drama, to Christmas stress, to getting a Wii (and getting addicted), to being chased in car by a lunatic and being forced to go double the speed limit, to the size Thomas (my hand-raised kitty) has grown. Any of those sound interesting?
So really I fail at blogging. Whilst I put a lot of time behind the scenes onto my site, and I am continually updating or re-doing pages, the blog is always the same boring crap. Wow I said crap four times in one blog.
So I thought, how can I make my blog more personal? I can write about previous experiences from years ago to a week ago, or I can write about something interesting that is coming up. I can write about new music I am into, what books I am reading. Come on, give me something.
So to finish of this (yet another) boring post, let me know what you want to hear from me. Do you like the meme style articles or do you want something about me. Or do you just not care and only read because you are bored?

I like reading blogs about the author, their thoughts and opinions and the random things that go on in their life.
I’d be interested in reading about the new music you’re into.

That macro is such win. Serious serious win.
I like to hear about funny experiences. It might be something as banal as the idiot working the cash register at Safeway who can’t count, or something more out-of-the-ordinary like…I dunno, a cat mating with a dog or something. As long as it’s written in an entertaining manner, it’s all good!

“a cat mating with a dog”
LOL
Yes I know what you mean Amanda, but you make everything sound interesting. I have heaps of stories about a saleperson who can’t count. It’s the same guy everytime haha.

Then does it! Time to write an expose on how imbecilic he is!

I’m not sure my opinion will even matter as I’m fairly new to your blog, but here’s a shot. As someone who is often very introspective, I like hearing about people’s daily experiences and how they connect to larger themes in their life. Why is what you’re writing about relevant enough to merit writing at all?
I like when people ask questions of themselves within an entry and try to make steps towards answering them or discussing them within visitor commentary. Of course, as Amanda’s comment suggests, you could write about something as simple as snow falling (check Leila’s latest) and make it artistic or humorous, and its far more interesting than it may appear initially. Be creative, be you! After all, I would hope you didn’t open this blog solely for the sake of writing for other people.

Asia- If only I could *see* snow fall ever. But yes I understand what you mean, and no, I didn’t open a blog solely for writing for other people.

All those things that happened DO sound interesting! I love reading about things that happen in the blogger’s life — anything, really, as long as it’s written in an interesting way.
