Basic Tools

Basic tools:

Black Arrow - the select tool, used to select a path or layers to move and resize them.

White Arrow - used to move individual points on a path

Pen tool - like the pen tool in photoshop, this tool is used to draw with curves and straight lines, point by point.

Text Tool - to write text with

Shapes - To draw shapes, holding down on this square brings up other options like the circle or star.

Pencil tool - like the pen tool, except it is freehand and not controlled by each point-by-point.

Brush tool - freehand like the pencil, except you can use it for the brushes as well.

Symbol tool - if you hold down on this you will see many options such as the symbol sizer, symbol stainer, and symbol shifter.

Gradient - Used to make gradients, drag this over the selected shape to get desired angle of gradient.
